VR/AR & 3D Digital Content

Using 3D laser scanning we are able to convert real-world objects and environments into digital 3D models to be used for applications such as virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). Moreover, by utilizing the 3D data captured using 3D laser scanning we are able to create realistic 3D models of objects for use in video games, video commercials, and 3D marketing.

Our terrestrial 3D laser scanners are used to 3D scan larger objects and environments such as buildings, factories, ships, heavy machinery, and processing plants. By remodeling and applying photorealistic textures to the 3D scan data obtained from terrestrial 3D laser scanning, we can create realistic 3D models. These photorealistic 3D models are often used in applications such as virtual simulation/training and virtual tours.

Our metrology-grade handheld 3D laser scanners and arm CMM are used to 3D scan smaller to medium-sized objects such as motorcycles and cars. Like with 3D scan data obtained from terrestrial 3D laser scanning we remodel and apply real-world textures to the 3D scan data captured using our handheld 3D laser scanner and arm CMM to create realistic digital 3D models of any object.
